The Eighth Day of Christmas

Making sugar cookies!
I really have to say that everyone should have a hysterectomy at Christmas time. Having a legitimate "excuse" to stay out of the hub bub and not being able to drive to any stores, even if I wanted to, has really been good for my bad attitude about Christmas. OK, so maybe not a hysterectomy, cause I don't want another one next year, maybe just a lobotomy of the Christmas Craziness behavioral lobe of our brains.
Doing something every night together, sometimes big, most times small, has made it feel "Christmasy" in the best sense. And the best part is I have just sat by and watched it happen. My parents have loved it, I hoped they would. I just wish I had a video of my dad doorbell ditching the cookies!

The Seventh Day of Christmas

A Christmas movie. This movie is hilarious. Something I've been thinking about trying someday.

Just a follow up to the post "Losing Things" ... found the damn key.

The sixth day of Christmas

Didn't you just love this book when you were in 4th grade? If you haven't read it - it is a must!

Movie Star Day

At the middle school today was "Movie Star Day". He didn't think he looked like any famous people, so he is entering the "Best Dressed for the Red Carpet" category. Once in a while, he surprises us. I would totally vote for him, wouldn't you?

The fifth day of Christmas

Christmas mugs and hot chocolate! (Love the dollar store). They each had to share their favorite Christmas memory. It's funny the things they remember!
What? You didn't know we had another child?

The fourth day of Christmas

Wednesday is busy night so this was a short one....
They had to give everyone in the family a big
HUG!

*sidenote: this is a big accomplishment for Brady, because, you know, girls have cooties.
